Peloponnesian classical highlights (from Athens / only transfer)

DAY 1: We pick you up from your hotel in Athens city center or your preferred meeting point and at the comfort of your private car we start our 2-day Peloponnesian exploration. Your first stop will be a quick photo stop at the famous Corinth canal, which unites the Saronic with the Corinthian golf. Our next stop will be Mycenae archaeological site where you will be able to see the famous Lion Gates, the tomb of Agamemnon the Cyclopean walls and more. Next, we will reach Nafplion, the first capital of Greece and one of the most beautiful cities in the Peloponnese. There you will have enough time to explore its narrow streets and beautiful shops and have a traditional lunch at a local tavern. After Nafplion, we will head to the Epidaurus archaeological site, the most famous healing place of ancient Greece. There you will have the chance to see the UNESCO listed Epidaurus theater, still used today for theatrical plays each summer. After Epidaurus we will drive through the beautiful Peloponnesian countryside until we reach Ancient Olympia, where you will spend the night.

DAY 2: The day is mostly dedicated to Ancient Olympia, one of the most important archaeological sites in whole Greece. There you will visit the museum and of course admire the many monuments such as the original stadium where the ancient Olympic games where born, the temples, the gymnasium and more. After Olympia, you will have the chance to visit a local olive oil farm where you will hear about the olive oil production in Greece, the procedures used and of course taste high quality extra virgin olive oil.
